I wasn't here on Thursday...

Hello everyone!  Today 24 students from our school went to New Windsor School in Avondale, for the Ako Hiko Student Toolkits. And what, you are probably asking, is that? Basically, it's where 21 to 24 students from every school in the Ako Hiko Cluster, come to one of the schools in it. The students do demonstrations on things like quiz making, or coding. It happens every year and, this year, I went! I didn't present, but everyone worked on something to present. Here is our one below. Our school had two topics to do: quiz making, which Anuk and I did, and animation using Google Slides. Izzy and Lily did quiz making, and Oscar, Alex, and Bruno did animation. I went to a coding session, then the quiz making one. Mr Riceman took a lot of photos, so here are some of them. These aren't all of them, though. I really enjoyed it, and I learned lots. Specifically, I learnt how to code a ping pong game, and quite a bit about making a quiz. Feel free to comment. Before you go, ple

Our dream tents

Hello everyone! This week, in maths we made tents that we would like to camp in. We made them out of toothpicks and modelling clay. We used modeling clay to stick the toothpicks together. All I had was a box. But still, you could use it as a tent. I am assuming you want to see it so here it is! I put the extra toothpicks beside it, and the extra clay in the middle. We put the tents on a piece of cardboard so we could move it easily without damaging it. You will probably notice that it is slightly bent. It kept falling over so I had to re build it over and over again. But eventually I managed. I wanted a triangular roof, but I didn't have the time. Any opinions or suggestions? If you do, then please comment. Bye!
