Googling (Well)!

Hello! Today (Yes, very fast) we completed a slideshow on how to be better at doing something done so often that it has entered our dictionaries. Yes, Googling. Google is very powerful. Especially when you use it cleverly, because it has lots of tricks up its sleeves (And a lot of surprises as well). Here is the slideshow (on being good at Googling)! If you want to do the quiz, you can also do it below the slideshow, without opening a new tab. By the way, you have to sign in to Google to do the quiz, so no one does it twice. If you don't want to do the quiz here, just click on the picture of it in the slideshow. Loading... Something I learned was how to make a quiz using Google Forms, because I have only ever made a Google Form twice, and a quiz with it never. Something I found hard was figuring out what to do with modifying the search results. Something I could probably do next time would be come up with some more questions for the quiz. Thanks for reading, and au re...

Welcome back!

Image
Hello everybody and welcome back to 2018. Yes, I'm still in Manukau (but a Year 6 now. Being a Year 6 doesn't feel very different from being a Year 5). No time for a welcome post though. Straight into work. Hello! Ok, so yesterday we made a DLO (A digital learning object) about how to keep your Chromebook safe. They were based on clauses in the Kawa of Care, by Ako Hiko  about taking care of your Chromebook. I made a Google Drawing. And here it is! I originally planned to use Piktochart (click here  to Google it), but I had to use a Google Drawing instead. And that pretty much sums up everything. Comment if you want. Bye!

A thinglink about me!

Image
Hello! Yesterday, for cybersmart, we made a thinglink about ourselves. A thinglink is basically an interactive picture. This one has a picture of me, made using BeFunky , from the last cybersmart lesson. And here is mine! Wait, wait! Before you look, I'd better tell you how to use it. Just hover your mouse above the dots and take a look! And now, I am told, I must write a reflection so you know what I learned and what I noticed. So, I learned what information I should share about myself online. I noticed that what you share controls what people think about you. So, be careful too! Feel free to comment on this. Bye!

Who looks at my blog?

Today in Cybersmart, two interesting things happend. Here they are. We got a new Cybersmart teacher We did what you will see soon enough I always enjoyed Cybersmart, but I am excited about the new teacher! What I did was six groups of people that I think look at my blog and here is that. I made it huge because this is the only size it looks right in. Please comment if you are not in one of those groups (sorry if you aren't) or you have a idea for another group. I can't change it once you see this but suggestions matter! Bye!
